Internship/Volunteer Opportunity World Events is a sports marketing company that specializes in professional sporting events and is known for its basketball tour: Hoop World. We work with professional sports teams such as the Golden State Warriors and the Seattle Supersonics to put on basketball events that give back to the community and promote charitable causes. In addition, we also do events for golf, volleyball and soccer enthusiasts in several cities. We are looking for energetic, self-motivated individuals who are interested in the fields of Marketing and Sports Entertainment. We have unpaid internships for candidates who have 10 hours per week available to help with grass roots distribution, sports marketing, and basic office duties. Applicants should have a general knowledge of computers: Access and Excel knowledge a plus. Good communication skills and a positive attitude are a must. Applicants will have the opportunity to travel and experience a professional sports marketing environment.
