Welcome to Casper, Wyoming… the Mountain Town for the Wild at Heart. Located along Interstate 25 and the North Platte River, Casper is a place where rustic charm meets urban amenities, where outdoor adventure intersects with world class hospitality and where city limit lines blur to create memorable, once-in-a-lifetime experiences for our guests.
Whether you’re wild for for 3X3 basketball, fishing, hiking, mountain biking, shopping or indoor activities you’ll find more than you could have imagined in our friendly community nestled at the base of Casper Mountain.
As the new home to Wyoming’s largest and longest running 3X3 basketball tournament and festival, we are honored and excited to welcome you to City and Natrona County.
You, your family and friends will find fantastic shopping in our downtown area complete with unique shops that offer everything from chocolate to cowboy chic. If it’s WyoMade you’re after, our local merchants sell clothing, wares, food and quaint home décor. If the big box stores are more your speed, we also boast the largest shopping mall in Wyoming.
After a day on the courts, you’ll find a wide-variety of four star restaurants with unbeatable menus. (Our community is home to more than 100 restaurants… all within 10 minutes of anywhere!) If your schedule permits, you can also take in the latest film in one of our eight theaters located throughout the City. If a massage or a facial is in the cards, Casper has eight relaxing, full-service options available. (But book your appointment early, they’ll go fast!)
Looking for late night fun? Don’t miss a visit to Backwards Distillery or our local craft brewery. You can also dance the night away to country music or simply relax and enjoy the music at any one of our local watering holes.
If history is your thing, Casper has five different museums – some designed just for the little ones - with information on the days of settlers to the days of big giant lizards. (Trust us, all of these are a must see!)
Our area is also rich in trail history, (the Mormon, Pioneer, Oregon and California all crossed here), and we still have several recreational trails in Casper today. Depending on how your weekend unfolds, plan to bring your running shoes and/or your mountain bike and snag a breath of fresh air between or before your game.
We invite you to come see what Casper has to offer and plan your Memorial Day Weekend stay at VisitCasper.com.
Here’s to unleashing your inner-wild!
